Lucinda Rogers works directly from life using ink, crayon and watercolour on paper. She has been drawing New York since her first visit in 1988 and this selection is from more than one hundred drawings, with a new series to come in 2014. From a rooftop in Spitalfields in 2001 she began to draw London and to record buildings and ways of life that are changing or disappearing, particularly in the East End.
