Lucinda Rogers draws directly from life using ink, crayon and watercolour on paper. New York has been a subject since her first visit in 1988 and this selection of drawings is from well over one hundred works. From a rooftop in Spitalfields in 2001, Lucinda began to draw London and to record buildings and ways of life that are changing or disappearing, particularly in the East End. Drawings of the workplace are a theme also found in the series on Tottenham, and Frome in Somerset. Marrakech is a city subject of a different kind.
